On behalf of UMCA’s students and employees I wish to thank you for the amazing opportunity to come and watch your play “The old House”. As the school’s principal it filled me with pride and joy to see one of our alumnus directing and bringing to life such a professional play. I’m happy to share with you the thoughts of a few of our students and teachers about the play:
Mrs. Irina – Math Teacher:
“It was an amazing play because students created everything. Our very talented alumni Dan Petrenko directed the play and showed his great talent, his creativity and imagination He took as a topic for the play an interesting Russian/Jewish story dated in the previous century. It was a story that managed to connect different generations by using songs and dance and topics that are close to everyone’s hearts no matter how old they are. Excellent play!”
Galina Stratan – Student at UMCA’s High School:
“I really enjoyed the play and most of all how the actors brought the characters to life and made it a very realistic story. The story line was very playful and interesting the writer really captured the spirit of family values. The play appealed to all ages, the audience was very engaged in the story”.
Ben Pinsky - Student at UMCA’s High School:
“I liked the play because I knew most of the actors and it was nice to see what my friends are capable of on the stage. It was also very well written. The play sucked the audience into the story and it made everyone feel like we were part of it. I would strongly recommend everyone to go and watch the play”.
Once again, thank you very much and on behalf of everyone thank you and good luck in your future career. We are confident that we will hear your name among Hollywood’s greatest directors in the future.
