Students Survey Guidelines

  • Look at the following examples for how to answer the questions properly. You need to answer in an honest and expanding way. Please do not write one word one sentence answers. Explain each question properly in a paragraph format.
  • Surveys from students:

  • Alex Kuzmin:
"The school where I was learning all the time, failed to include in the calendar I needed a math course. I came here for help, and quickly saw how cool it was to learn here! We're all of the same serious mind, and students who are not serious, just will not succeed. Is it not to the point that the guys gathered in a class of serious learning are responsible individuals? Here we are in a small classroom with a teacher who supplies each of us with the opportunity to gain an understanding of the subject. Next year, I will begin to learn at the next level, in Schulich School of Business at York University. I am sure that the knowledge gained in the UMCA, help me to be on top. "

    Nicole Farberov:
'I came here to study English and mathematics. I can say the same thing: to learn the ropes is so unrealistic in the classroom, of thirty students.
Here, for example, in English. Every mistake is noticed, even in conversation, and our teacher corrects it. You can only do this properly when there is time and opportunity to hear listen to each student. And what to say about the mathematics classroom? The teacher will not back down until she is satisfied that all have understood and adopted the principals needed to achieve the next one hundred percent.
Of course, for us it is very important to obtain loans here. Although grants and bursaries are also available if you search for them properly. But we understand that even more importantly - is the knowledge behind them.

This is my second semester at UMCA, and I feel like UMCA is an integral part of my life. This year I'm taking Chemistry Biology Functions French English and I could say I made a lot of progress since my start here a year ago. The teachers are inspiring and motivating and are pushing me to do my best. I met lots of great new people that will stay with me for along time. Strongly recommend!

This is my first year at UMCA. I went to Catholic School before, and I chose to come to umca becasue I wanted to improve my marks and get a better education. I like UMCA becasue of the small class size, I get to be close to my teachers. I get to learn more, the teachers focus on me becasue there are not too many kids in the class and I get to ask more questions. They are very caring and devoted. I also have an opportunity to focus more on my courses becasue the teachers interact with me more than they used to in my previous school. The schedule is tailored to my availability and it's easier for me to handle it.There is a huge improvement with my marks, and I would strongly recommend this school to everyone who is interested in improving their results and getting a better education.

My son moved to UMCA after being 4 years in a public school, and I can say that UMCA is 100 levels above public school. There is nothing to compare between what and how they learn in a a public school and what they learn at UMCA. For example - in grade 5 Math, students at UMCA learn fructions. This is what students of grade 8 in a public school learn. In History and Geography all they learn in a public school is just about Canada and the provinces. At UMCA they learn world history and so much more! They have so many extra curricular activities, like coding, cooking, chess, sewing and the list goes on and on... The teachers are amazing. Each one is an expert in his own subject, they are enthusiastic and dedicated, and each student gets special attention. The fact that the classes are small size, promise that each student is being noticed and is taken care of. The principal of the school gives her heart and soul to the school to make sure the students will receive the most up to date inovations in the educational system, as well as go to shows, trips, and so many other extra curricular activities. Another bonus of the school is that the kids receive a hot meal every day, so parents don't need to worry about preparing sandwiches in the morning. If you want to give your child an education that is above and beyond then UMCA is the place. Strongly recommended!
